I joined Cert ID in 2006 following 17 years in certification and food law consultancy and before that, 24 years in enforcement – where have those years gone? I was involved with the creation and execution of the original Cert ID Non-GMO standard so knew quite a bit about the business.

It is exciting to be able to help shape the business and be part of the growth that has, and is taking place here at Cert ID. This is very much down to the people and it is good to be part of a real team that has an open-minded approach to fresh ideas.

Maria Taylor

Certification Manager

I joined Cert ID in 2006 as a Certification Co-ordinator and benefited from being able to learn about each aspect of the business and grow with it. I have had the pleasure of working alongside industry expert, Mike Law for a number of years now but find I continue to learn from his invaluable experience on a daily basis.

After learning the business from the ground up, I was successfully appointed as Certification Manager in 2009. It has been fantastic to have the opportunity to travel and meet our clients and be able to develop our systems and procedures to meet clients’ needs as well as the requirements for our accreditation.

I manage our BRC and Halal certification, am chairperson to our Quality Management Team as well as Secretary to our Governance Committee.

Katie Henderson

Certification Co-ordinator

I joined Cert ID in 2010 after working with the company on a temporary basis. I was appointed as Certification Co-ordinator and handle TCC’s and all our Non GMO certification with the support and guidance of my manager Maria Taylor and Chief Certification Officer, Mike Law. 

Since joining Cert ID I have been many opportunities to train in Non GMO, BRC and Internal Quality Audits. I am quite creative and have many creative hobbies and never thought I would be able to bring this into my career. Since joining Cert ID I have been encouraged to build on this and have since had In Design training and now have a key input in marketing and design.

I was also given the chance of a lifetime when I took part in the Cert ID charity skydive in June 2010. I am now in the process of building on my practical certification experience through further training to allow me to expand into other areas of the business including BRC, Halal and Quality System Management.
